June 2026 Developer's Note

Hello, Commanders. I'm Hyungsuk Yoo, the director of GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE.

We've prepared this developer's note to share the development team's assessment and response plan regarding Centi's Favorite Item as quickly as possible after reviewing the feedback we received.

We'll also preview several updates and improvements being prepared following the Summer Event.

01

Centi's Favorite Item — What Went Wrong

Since Centi's Favorite Item update last February, many of you have asked about its direction and intent. As this is the first time a Favorite Item's effects are being renewed, we want to explain our thinking clearly.

Our overall goal with Favorite Items is to give each Nikke as many viable uses as possible — keeping characters relevant across content long after you acquire them, and giving non-meta Nikkes a way back in for specific situations. Moran is one example of this direction in practice. Centi, long favored in PvP, was meant to gain enough PvE utility to be treated as a viable defensive pick.

In practice the effect fell short of expectations, and our follow-up analysis surfaced a second problem: changing from a shared shield to individual shields actually let opposing Commanders build Burst Gauge faster in the Arena.

To be clear: there was a design flaw in Centi's Favorite Item that went beyond our original intentions. Because the result could hardly be called an efficiency gain, we made the unavoidable decision to renew a Favorite Item's skills for the first time.
02

Centi's Favorite Item — What We're Changing

The renewal keeps its intended direction — securing PvE usability — but rather than ship the previously announced values as-is, we will review the stats once more in meticulous detail. Internal tests showed a gap between the announced text and actual balance, and since many of you worry the changes may still be too strong, we won't take that lightly.

We were also preparing to revert the shield logic to its original shared-shield format so Centi's existing PvP use isn't undermined, and we'll review a few additions to make her slightly more meaningful in PvP as well.

Revised Centi Favorite Item changes are targeted for late July, with full details in a future notice.

We also sincerely apologize for the communication. Announcing these changes only on the day of the June 11 patch — with Union Raid starting June 12 — did not give you time to review and prepare. We should have explained our intent and issued prior notice first.

03

Cinderella Costume Voting

Cinderella took 1st place in this year's popularity poll, and as before you'll choose her free costume from three design concepts. The theme that receives the most votes will be finalized and released as a free costume at a later date.

The three concepts are built around popular themes you're already familiar with. Take a look at the previews below before voting begins.

Voting is scheduled to start on June 17.
04

Summer Event & Livestream

The main details of the Summer Event will be revealed in a livestream, scheduled for sometime in June; the exact schedule and plans will come in a future notice.

The summer livestream tends to be a bit more understated than the anniversary one, but the Summer Event has always been a great chance to make memories with many Nikkes — we hope you'll look forward to it.

05

Main Story — Chapters 47 & 48

Chapters 47 and 48 are scheduled for August. The Main Story has reached a major turning point — we'll keep details light to avoid spoilers, but this chapter marks the starting point where full-scale preparations begin ahead of a major battle.

06

Harmony Cube Battery Exchange

We're adding a feature to exchange the surplus batteries you accumulate after reaching Harmony Cube Level 15 for other Cube Battery types at a set ratio. It applies only to batteries from Cubes that have reached Level 15, and there are no plans to add further uses for batteries past Level 15 — so you can exchange surplus with peace of mind.

Targeted for the August update.
07

Increased Harmony Cube Battery Rewards

Alongside the exchange feature, we're raising the overall acquisition rate of Harmony Cube Batteries to support developing a wider variety of Cubes and selecting them strategically per situation.

Union Raid clear rewards will now include batteries, and the Union Chips awarded through ranking rewards will increase (making Union Shop battery purchases easier). Solo Raid battery rewards for clearing Stages 1–7 will also increase.

Targeted for the August update.
08

Union Raid Improvements

For August we've prioritized convenience features that can be applied immediately:

• Save Simulation Combat records

• Preview and play the next level's Simulation Combat in advance

• Check damage dealt in Normal and Hard Stages 1–3, like Hard Stage 4

• Sort Raid records by Nickname or by Highest Score

• Check the Union Log (Chat) directly from the Raid Lobby

We'll keep monitoring Union Raid for inconveniences and make ongoing improvements.

09

Coordinated Operation — Status Visibility

Ahead of broader Coordinated Operation improvements, a late-July update will first make its status more intuitive. Currently you must open the Event page to see whether a Coordinated Operation is in progress; the exact method is still being finalized.

10

Quick Use for Boxes

You'll be able to bulk-use multiple consumable boxes — Core Dust, Battle Data, Credit, and Skill Materials — directly from your inventory. Boxes that require manually selecting rewards, and items with any potential collection value, are excluded to prevent accidental use. We still recommend the lock feature for anything you want to keep.

Targeted for late July.
11

Friend Social Point Acquisition

We're streamlining Social Points from the Friend System: after this change, a single tap of the Send/Receive button handles the whole day, so the Receive red dot won't keep nagging you to check it.

Targeted for late July.
